New progress on the final draft of Alan Wake 2

Alan Wake 2’s “Final Draft” update was released on December 11, bringing exciting new features, notably the introduction of the long-awaited New Game Plus mode. The update brings players a new ending to Alan Wake’s story and offers new lore through added videos and manuscript pages in the New Game+ experience. Players retain the weapons, charms, and character upgrades they earned during their initial playthrough, preparing themselves for the challenging Nightmare difficulty levels.

In New Game Plus, however, unlocked weapons are stored in shoeboxes rather than immediately available. In addition to these enhancements, the update includes bug fixes, performance improvements, and detailed update notes for an upcoming release on all platforms. To access New Game Plus, you need to complete the full game of Alan Wake 2.

Alan Wake 2 gameplay

Alan Wake 2 is a horror video game in which you play as two different characters: Alan Wake and Saga Anderson. It differs from the first Alan Wake game in that the focus this time is on surviving dire situations. You’ll use your gun and flashlight to fight off enemies. The flashlight can be focused to weaken enemies, but you need to be careful as using it too much will drain its power.

You also have to manage limited batteries and bullets to survive. As you play as Saga, you can take a break, think, and solve mysteries in a special place called the “Heartland.” You can find important clues and even talk to other characters. There are also special pages in the manuscript that hint at what will happen next in the story. It’s a unique and exciting game that blends horror, action and detective work.
