Here’s a simpler guide to fixing the elevator in the Arcane Tower in Baldur’s Gate 3:
- First enter the Arcane Tower and defeat the Arcane Sentinels. They are less resistant to lightning damage.
- Move to the south side of the room and open the balcony door. You’ll see a large mushroom on the side of the building.
- Jump on these mushrooms and reach the next balcony.
- Inside, look for the Timas Spore, the Tongue of Madness (used in the “Help Omelum Investigate Parasites” quest), and the tattered book on the bookshelf on the west wall. Reading this book will be crucial in the future.
- Return to the balcony and drop down to the next mushroom. But be careful! Unless you cast Feather Drop on your party, you’ll take a lot of falling damage.
- Walk around the corner of the tower and pick a glowing Susul flower.
- Looking back, I found a locked door. You can pick the lock (difficulty level 15) or break it.
- Once inside, find the generator in the center of the room.
