League of Legends Tier List September 2023, Best Champions Ranked

League of Legends

League of Legends (LoL), developed by Riot Games in 2009, is a multiplayer online arena video game inspired by Warcraft III’s Defense of the Ancients. It’s free to play, monetizes through character customization, and is available on Windows and macOS. In League of Legends, two teams of five players battle in player-versus-player battles, controlling unique “champions” with different abilities.

The goal is to destroy the enemy’s “Nexus” in the main mode Summoner’s Rift. While it was praised for its accessibility and character design, it also faced ongoing issues with player behavior. With millions of concurrent players, LoL has become one of the greatest video games and has spawned spin-off games such as Wild Rift, Legends of Runeterra, and Ruined King. It is a top esports with a huge competitive scene and global fan base, and events are broadcast live on platforms such as Twitch and ESPN.

League of Legends gameplay

In the game League of Legends, a multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA), players control unique characters called “Champions”, each with their own set of abilities, viewed from an isometric perspective . Notably, as of 2023, there are over 160 champions to choose from. During matches, champions gain experience points (XP) by defeating enemies to gain levels.

To increase their power, players can acquire items using gold coins, which accumulate passively over time and are earned actively by knocking down enemy minions, heroes, or defensive structures. In the main game mode Summoner’s Rift, items can be purchased exclusively at the Team Base via the Shop menu. It’s important to note that each game is independent, and no levels or items will be transferred between games.
