• Charizard ex features a special rare illustration with card number 199/165 that perfectly matches the artwork of Charmander 168/165 from the Pokémon Trading Card Game. Charizard sat there looking up at the sky, and in his final evolution, Charizard flew up and over the vast rock where it once sat.

• The only Trainer card included on this list, Erica’s Invitation, is an ultra-rare complete art card from the Pokémon 151 set. Card number 196/165 is a support card that displays the beautiful trainer Erica among the cherry blossoms, while allowing the player to peek into the opponent’s hand. On TCGPlayer, the card currently has a market price of $74.50, although it has been on sale for as much as $99.00.

Zapdos ex 202/165

• The special illustrated rare card for Zapdos ex shows Articuno and Moltres flying with it in the background as it charges forward. This powerful card is extremely useful in the game with its multiple Lightning Bolts, and is also a vibrant collectible drawn by Shiburingaru. As of this writing, the card is listed on TCGPlayer with a street price of $63.50.

• Like the previously listed Mew ex cards, this ultra-rare version of Mew ex has the same attacks and stats, but with a rare illustration that covers the entire card face. This Pokémon 151 card is numbered 193/165, and the color of the entire card is a very beautiful bubblegum pink. The Pokémon 151 set actually has multiple versions of Mew, and this version is currently valued at $58.79 on TCGPlayer.

Bulbasaur 198/165

• The rare version of the specially illustrated Venus Ur is given a beautiful floral background to highlight its Flower of Serenity ability in card number 198/165. This Venusur ex card is another example of an evolved version of a beloved starter card, featuring full card art that’s beautiful enough to be framed while also providing a beneficial healing or poisoning effect when played. Currently, the market price of Bulbasaur ex for Pokémon 151 is $57.49 on TCGPlayer.

Charmander 168/165

• A true classic and one of the original starters, Charmander received a special full-art illustration rare card numbered 168/165. While its gameplay mechanics aren’t anything groundbreaking, and it only has 70 health, Charmander’s illustration is beautiful. Among the 151 sets, many special illustrations (including Charmander) are designed to tell a story that spans evolutionary lines. On TCGPlayer, the current market price of Charmander 168/165 is $34.98.

Meow 151/165

• The card number 151 in “Pokémon TCG: Scarlet and Violet”-151 is none other than the infamous Meowth. This beautifully illustrated card depicts Mew ex in a magical bubble-like state. The card itself can be very powerful, but a lot depends on your opponent’s active Pokémon cards. As of this writing, Mew ex is available on TCGPlayer with a market price of $34.59.

Charizard 006/165

• This former Charizard card number 006/165 is probably one of the most powerful cards in the Pokémon 151 series. Its artwork also gives it the appearance of leaping from the card itself and adds to the ferocious nature of its attacks. Currently on TCGPlayer, Charizard ex is listed with a market price of $33.02.

Pikachu illustration rare 173/165

• This all-art card of the adorable Pokémon mascot Pikachu shows off the happy, childlike side of this little character and is numbered 173/165. Despite its beautiful artwork and Pikachu’s ability to punch, this Pikachu only has 60 health, making it a fragile card in the deck. However, as a collectible, it’s a perfect addition and is currently being featured on TCGPlayer, with a median listed price of $28.38.

Blister Turtle Front 009/165

• Squirtle is one of the original Pokémon, and the final evolved version of Blastoise ex has the card number 009/165 in Pokémon 151. Interestingly, while there is an ultra-rare version of Blastoise ex with card numbers 184/165, it has so far been selling for slightly less than this iteration’s value. Currently, the median listing price for this Blastoise ex card on TCGPlayer is $12.89.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Gameplay

Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet follow the same gameplay style as the previous Pokémon games. Players capture and trade creatures called Pokémon, using them to explore the world and battle other trainers. A new feature allows players to fight trainers on specific paths.

Pokémon scarlet and violet plot

In the vivid Pokémon universe, Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet embark on their adventures in the enchanting region of Pardia, an artistic expression inspired by the real-world Iberian Peninsula. The area offers a range of landscapes, from tranquil lakes to vast moors and majestic mountains. At its center is the large crater Pardia, a remarkable testament to meteorite impacts centuries ago.

This crater is Zone Zero, where the mysterious Trastadization phenomenon was discovered for the first time. The Paldea region is carefully divided into 15 different regions, spread over four provinces. Each area has its own unique Pokémon and stunning scenery, dotted with scattered islands as well as lakes and charming rock formations on its borders.

The story of Pokémon Crimson and Violet revolves around the player’s journey through either Naranja (Crimson) or Uva (Violet) Academy. An exciting annual event called the Treasure Hunt inspires students to explore the area in search of something they treasure. Encountering legendary Pokémon like Koraidon or Miraidon during this journey sets the stage for participation in three key storylines: Victory Road, Starfall Street, and Legendary Road.

In Path to Victory, players, inspired by their rival Nimona, fight their way through gym challenges and battles, ultimately aiming for the prestigious Championship Ranking. Meanwhile, Starfall Street unveils a compelling story involving academy dynamics and battles with the Stars.
